vision

"When he was still a long way off, his father saw him. His heart pounding, he ran out, embraced him and kissed him. Tonight, we feast! My son has come home safe and sound.” (Luke 15)

I see myself working in the local church, making it be more than just a place where people go to on Sunday's or weekdays. I want church to be home for people. I believe Jesus is the maximum expression of God’s love, which is why church should focused on connecting with Him. I want to help create an environment where people can experience God’s love and grace no matter who they are, what they are going through, or what they believe. I want church to be a celebration everyday of fellow believers coming together and worshiping God together.

My favorite moments in life is when I do ministry with people with the same heart and the vision, whether it is with my worship team or with the youth/young adults in my church. I love those moments when my team and I gather together at home or at a coffeeshop and share our hearts and vision for ministry and how are we going to do that. I want people to see the potential they have in themselves and simply believe in themselves. I see that a lot of young people now have so much potential, talents, skills. However, they pull back because they do not see themselves benefiting or they do not give there 100%. I want to encourage people to stop thinking like that and believe that God wants to use ordinary people for His kingdom. He is not looking for those who are able, He is looking for those who are willing.

When it comes to any specific ministry, my greatest passion is in youth/young adults ministries and in the worship department. My home church actually connect these two ministries well in terms of the people in it. All of our youth/young adults are part of the worship department whether it is in leading worship, singing, music, multimedia, lights, or sound. Like I mention above, I love working with my team in both ministries. I see myself building up structure in the these ministries and encouraging my team to have a heart for the house, to be committed in serving their own ministries because they love God and love the church. I long to see more and more young people especially give their lives to serve and do ministry.

Furthermore, I see that my church specifically, lack in structure and organization in the overall ministry and in the team. Structure and organization is needed in order for the ministry to function well. These things can be seen as small, but they make huge a difference. When we start to pay attention the little things, we are able to do the big things easily. I find that in ministry, there will always be opposition from people. One of my mentors taught me that people are always going to point out flaws in ministry whether we do something great or not. Therefore why not strive to do our best and give our best in ministry knowing that it is to glorify God.

My vision is to see the church grow and become a place where people can experience God through worship, fellowship, and communion and want to be apart of it.
